Runner comes last in 400m dash after his ‘penis came out in the middle of the race’

A 400-meter race at the 2022 World Athletics U20 Championships was a disaster for an athlete. Alberto Nonino from Italy was participating in the event in Cali, Colombia as part of the grueling decathlon.

He started in the middle lane and did well, but eagle-eyed observers noticed that he was reaching for his genital region. David Sanchez de Castro, a sports journalist, said that Nonino’s penis kept breaking during the race.

“Perhaps my explanation was not clear enough.” The reporter stated that his penis was caught on the side of his shorts.

He had to keep it in place because it wasn’t allowing him the freedom to run. This is normal when your dongle swings from side to side.

As his legs were pounding the pavement, he tried desperately to fix the problem. However, it seems that nothing worked. Although he was close to the front at the start of the race, he dropped to the back as the runners reached the last corner.

He was last in the race with 51.57 seconds. He’s not sure if it will be the moment that he wanted to make headlines, but he is choosing to see the positive side. Nonino used Instagram to send a message out to his followers.

He said, “I just wanted to talk to you about the rumpus on blogs and social media generally”. He said this in a Story. “I am aware it was an accident.

I would like to let you know that I am aware of the reaction. You don’t have to send me links to the blogs. I try to laugh about it now, but immediately after I felt terrible.

I am thankful to my family and friends for helping me to get over the incident a few hours later.”

The 18-year-old said that it was lucky that he is resilient as such an incident could have devastating consequences for someone else.

According to the Daily Star, he said that the journalistic world is concerned about bullying cases in Italy and elsewhere in the world and publishes such articles on the flip side that could have caused a lot of damage for someone more sensitive.

Decathlon is an event where the athlete is required to compete in 10 events.

Competitors must run 1,500m, and compete in 100-meter sprints, long jumps, shot-put, high jumping, 400-meter run, and 110-meter hurdles over two days.
