An 83-year-old man who’s wife has just given birth to his son, is already preparing him for life after he’s passed away.
Alberto Cormillot, a doctor and nutrition expert, is ensuring his son, Emilio, has all he needs to be able to cope when he isn’t around any more. This includes hiring tutors to teach him languages to recording messages on WhatsApp to listen to at points during his life.
Alberto is realistic, and has been since he found out his wife, Estefania Pasquini, was pregnant after undergoing fertility treatment, that his time with his son is likely to be limited.
But, armed with this knowledge, Alberto has made comprehensive plans for his son’s future – for now and after he has passed away.
This includes giving his baby a phone with WhatsApp on it, which Alberto uses to record audio and video clips, giving his perspective on “the reality of life.”
Alberto also wants his son to have a broad education, saying that he already has lessons in Chinese twice a week. He believes it is the language of the future, so by learning it now he will find it easier to learn more when he is older.
But, while he has the future in hand, Alberto is nevertheless intending to enjoy his remaining time on Earth with his family and live every day to the fullest.
Alberto is no stranger to fatherhood, having two grown-up son, Renee and Adrian, and three granddaughters. He met Estefania after this first wife, Monika Arborgast, passed away back in 2017.
